Psikoedukasi untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Kesehatan Mental Remaja di Kabupaten Kupang

Abstract


Remaja memerlukan dukungan sosial untuk meningkatkan literasi kesehatan mental. Psikoedukasi literasi kesehatan mental dilakukan dengan tujuan agar remaja memiliki literasi tentang kesehatan mental dan mengetahui tentang cara mengatasi masalah kesehatan mental baik bagi dirinya sendiri maupun bagi orang lain. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Gereja Imanuel Manefu Baumata, Kabupaten Kupang. Sebanyak 27 remaja mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan one-group pretest-posttest design dilakukan terhadap 27 partisipan untuk mengukur efektivitas psikoedukasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi literasi kesehatan mental berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman remaja tentang kesehatan mental, t (26) = -7,217, p kurang dari 0,001, d = -1,389.

 

Abstract. Adolescents need social support to improve mental health literacy. Mental health literacy psychoeducation was carried out with the purpose that adolescents have literacy about mental health and know about how to deal with mental health problems both for themselves and for others. This activity was held at Imanuel Manefu Baumata Church, Kupang Regency. A total of 27 teenagers participated in this community service activity. A quasi-experimental study with one-group pretest-posttest design was carried out on 27 participants to measure the effectiveness of the psychoeducation. The results of the hypothesis testing show that psychoeducation of mental health literacy has an effect on adolescents’ understanding on mental health, t (26) = -7,217, p less than 0.001, d = -1,389.
