Abstract


Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan psikoedukasi yang berjudul “Pastoral Care with Mindfulness” yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan para pendeta terkait penggunaan teknik mindfulness untuk mengoptimalkan kesehatan mental yang mereka miliki saat memberikan pelayanan bagi jemaat di gereja. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik. Agenda sesi pertama berupa pemaparan materi terkait konsep dasar mindfulness, urgensi teknik mindfulness untuk mengoptimalkan kesehatan mental, dan pengenalan berbagai macam teknik mindfulness. Selanjutnya, agenda sesi kedua berupa demonstrasi dan latihan teknik mindfulness, seperti: mindful breathing, mindful loving, mindful chair yoga, mindful eating, dan mindful reading, dengan dipandu oleh penulis sebagai narasumber dalam kegiatan ini. Agenda sesi ketiga diisi dengan kesimpulan dan refleksi Bersama. Kegiatan psikoedukasi ini dilaksanakan secara hybrid dengan melibatkan partisipan sejumlah 40 orang pendeta yang bekerja di Sinode Gereja Kalimantan Evangelis (GKE) di Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan. Para peserta menunjukkan antusiasme yang luar biasa untuk mengikuti kegiatan psikoedukasi ini dan berkomitmen akan menerapkan teknik mindfulness ini dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai pelayan jemaat dan utusan Tuhan yang kesehatan mentalnya prima.


Abstract. This study aims to provide psychoeducation titled "Pastoral Care with Mindfulness" to enhance pastors' understanding and skills related to the use of mindfulness techniques to optimize their mental health while providing services to church congregations. The methods used include lectures, demonstrations, and practice. The first session agenda involves presenting material on the basic concepts of mindfulness, the urgency of mindfulness techniques for optimizing mental health, and introducing various mindfulness techniques. The second session agenda includes demonstrations and practice of mindfulness techniques such as mindful breathing, mindful loving, mindful chair yoga, mindful eating, and mindful reading, guided by the author as a resource person in this activity. The third session is filled with conclusions and joint reflection. This psychoeducation activity is conducted in a hybrid manner involving 40 pastor participants working in the Evangelical Kalimantan Church Synod (GKE) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The participants showed great enthusiasm to join this psychoeducation activity and committed to applying these mindfulness techniques in their daily lives as community servants and God's messengers with optimal mental health.
